Inspired by my adventures in reefs of wondrous coral and jewel-like fish. I’ve designed this new print to add the somefish collection of wearable art; a silk scrunchie version of the incredibly popular ballet skirt.
My original watercolour design has been printed onto silk twill using the most environmentally thoughtful digital print method.
A world without coral reefs would be not only a devastating loss of natural beauty, but catastrophic for ocean and human life. To balance any ecological cost wrought on the environment in the production or sale of these scarves, 10% of all profits will go back to the ocean project: “Marine Permaculture”. – a project devoted to reversing global warming by restoring the primary production of oceans, using kelp and other seaweeds. Primary production is the creation of organic compounds from carbon dioxide through photosynthesis.
